Notes From The North; Living Under The Green

Summer begins today and we are living under the green.
A dense canopy of oak, maple, apple, poplar and beech.
Green of bittersweet and lilac sweep the windows.  In the field, the grass waves like breakers on the beach.
Wave after wave of green with the light of Summer burning holes in the shadows.
Wild rose, wildflower, wild birds.
Oh my God!
Summer?
The foam stood tall off the water in the Sheepscot Village this morning that tells me that the moon is full and the run of seasons has driven the reversing falls crazy, we are going crazy with the loss of time.
Robin has three eggs in the nest upon the barn loft for her second nesting, bluebirds and swallows nest again.
Old dog joins me in the early morning walks through fields wet with dew.
