The Order of the Dragonfly, My Heart

Last night the Sangha of the Blue Mountain Lotus Society celebrated the annual re-dedication of the House of Meditation. As a Sangha, we renewed our commitment to liberate all sentient beings, to end all delusions, to embody wisdom and compassion, to attain the Way.
How do we embody the Vow of the Bodhisattva? In what ever way we are able!
How do we reconcile this deep paradox of ego self and true self? By waking up!

But last night was also a somber occasion, marking the passing of two dearly adored people in our Sensei's life, and thus in the life of the Sangha as well, for their unconditional support, dedication and generosity to the Sangha are essential to each member's practice and awakening.

My gratitude is inexpressible for these 2 big, big hearts, lion hearts! that embrace me freely and completely in the example of the lives they lived and the love they gave those who remain here for now, carrying on!

Last night I witnessed Yito and Taitan in every face of the Sangha, in every breath of the Nembutsu, in every still place of meditation.

Thank you Sensei, for offering them to me, a place for refuge and a place for launching this humble buddha into the universe's embrace!
