WITF welcomes you to this month's artist reception on January 14th, from 5-7 pm at the WITF Public Media Center. The reception is free to the public and will feature the artwork of Virginia Parkum.

Virginia Parkum embodies "east meets west", both in her life as an artist, a poet and a Buddhist teacher, and in her art itself. While studying Zen, she brought the simplicity and directness of the Zenga ink brush "way" to her art through the use of bold color and Expressionistic acrylics, in an exploration of how each "way" contributes to the other.

Virginia has had one-person shows at Bella Vista Gallerie, Denmark: SOM Gallery, Yale University; Penn State Harrisburg;Center for Women's Creative Expression; and New Beginnings Gallery, Lancaster, among others, as well as many group exhibits, and has received numerous awards.
