Wednesday, January 19 at the Landis House, we will be showing the movie Spring, Summer, Fall, Winter...And Spring.
Directed by South Korean film maker Kim Ki-duk, the film's action takes place over 5 seasons, though separated by many years, as we follow the life of a Buddhist monk and his apprentice on their floating monastery, and in the world at large. From childhood to old age, the character's journeys are at once serene and harrowing, in turns heartbreaking and joyous, and ultimately, all too familiar--this is the story of what it means to be a human being.
The over all effect is absolutely spellbinding, and reminds us that Life and Karma are one and the same!
Show time is at 7 p.m. Bring snacks to share if you like and enjoy an awesome movie, followed by discussion, which is sure to be lively.
