Images from Candles On The Water, held on the banks of the Susquehanna River, Sunday August 8, in remembrance of those who suffered through the nuclear bombing of Nagasaki and Hiroshima 65 years ago.
This is always a beautiful ceremony, dedicated to the belief that nuclear proliferation and weaponry should never again be used by one group against another. While it is a somber remembrance, setting the lit candle boats on the river brings renewal and hope for an end to suffering, delusion and anger, perpetrated in the name of war.
