Anahata-Feeding the Heart Center

Anahata, the Heart Chakra, is at the center of our bodies, and at the center of the chakra system.  So to say that our every compassionate intention and action radiates from this point is not an exaggeration.  Anahata is what connects us with others through our most complex emotional stirrings.
Related to the thymus, Anahata helps control not only the immune system, but also the endocrine system, and creates T cells responsible for fending off disease and illness.
Through our Heart Center, we experience compassion, unconditional love, tenderness, and equilibrium.  Here we balance all opposites of the psyche: mind and body, male and female, psyche and shadow, ego and True Self, engendering a deep sense of peace and centeredness.
On a spiritual level, Anahata governs devotion.
Naturally, feeding the Heart Chakra keeps us loving and loved!

*Air Vegetables:  cauliflower, broccoli, cabbage, celery, summer & winter squash
*Fluids: Green teas

**Green Tea Ice Cream
Get a quart of nice vanilla ice cream, like Hagen Das or Ben & Jerry's, soften it a bit so that you can thoroughly stir in one teaspoon of Macha green tea powder, then pop it back into the freezer for 10-15 minutes.
Serve with honey or chocolate sauce!  Awfully good, and your heart will thank you.
