Zen Brush: A Way of Art & Life

Osho Ginny "Gin" Parkum, my buddy, Dharma Sister and Sensei, will be exhibiting her beautiful and provocative paintings at the New Beginnings Gallery September 3 through October 31. The Gallery is located at Hager, 25 West King Street in Lancaster, PA. There will be a reception for the artist Friday September 3, 5-8 p.m. and Gallery hours are 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Tuesday, Thursday & Saturday, and by appointment (717-509-0330, www.lancasterarts.com).
Ginny's acrylic and Zen ink paintings reflect her freedom of heart-mind, with an aesthetic of simplicity, naturalness and impermanence. Animals, especially cats and horses, play a primary role in her work, as their fresh "suchness" inspires her imagination with a great deal of humor.
At the reception, Ginny will talk about the art of Zenga, a philosophy and practice of ink painting directly related to meditation and living a life steeped in the Dharma.
Come meet the artist and discover how many ways to paint an Enso!
