Ajna--The Third Eye

This symbol looks like a little blueberry with wings, and blueberries are a wonderful food to nourish Ajna.
The Third Eye chakra, Ajna, is linked to the pineal gland, which produces melatonin, regulating sleeping and waking.  Ajna balances the higher and lower selves, and creates a trusting sense of our powers of intuition and inner guidance.  We see the "big picture", a more universal vision, with a healthy Third Eye.
This chakra also enables us to have a deeper understanding of archetypal symbols and the world of our dreams.
Foods for Ajna includes the following:

*Dark Blue fruits, such as: blueberries, blackberries, raspberries, purple & red grapes, plums, dark cherries
*Liquids: Red wines, grape juice
*Spices:  lavender, poppy seed

**Blueberries au Citron  (for Sensei)

1 lemon
1/4 C maple syrup
12 oz. blueberries, preferably small, wild Maine blueberries
2 Tbsp lemon juice

Using a veggie peeler, remove 4 peels from the lemon and set aside.
Cut lemon in half and juice.
Mix juice & maple syrup in a bowl big enough for all ingredients.
Rinse berries well in cold water, drain, then add to syrup mixture, along with lemon peel.
Mix well, refrigerate for at least an hour before serving.

Delicious!
