Food for Svadisthana--The Sacral Chakra

Svadisthana, the Sacral Chakra, is the center of creativity, sexuality and reproduction.  Located in the sacral area, this "wheel" effects our dealings with others through desire and sensation, give and take. Represented by the element water, Svadisthana is connected with movement, suppleness, grace and fluidity, sexual expression and the ability to "go with the flow".
Physically, Svadisthana governs the reproductive system, mentally, it is a source of creative energy, emotionally it connects to joy, and spiritually, it connects to enthusiasm.

Here are some of the foods that nourish a balanced Svadisthana Chakra:
*Honey (eaten by the spoonful!)
*Nuts
*Sweet Fruits, such as melon, mango, all berries, oranges, coconut, etc.
*Spices, such as sesame & caraway seeds, cinnamon, vanilla, carob, sweet paprika

Try sectioned blood oranges, drizzled with honey, with a sprinkling of toasted almonds, shredded unsweetened coconut and fresh grated cinnamon, then dance around the kitchen to **Jiv Jago by Rasa--nice way to chase away the Winter doldrums!  And I'll leave the rest to your imagination....

**from Devotion, by Rasa, highly recommended!
